We have dramatically
increased the number of computers at ECC. There are computers in every
classroom and all offices. The office computers are all tied to an internal
network, run Windows XP Pro, and have access to the Internet. We got a
terrific deal through Center Management Services for the classroom computers
that currently run Windows 98 at 733mhz... Several classrooms have 4-5 Win
98 computers networked together. The classroom machines get heavy use and
will eventually get Internet access when we install the software that can
monitor what is being sent and received.
The internal network runs on
Microsoft Small Business Network. The demand for more computerization is
growing and we are doing everything we can to comply.
