2006 FIFTH ANNUAL CLYDE YORK SOCIAL CENTER GOLF SCRAMBLE A SUCCESS!

The 5th Annual Clyde York Social Center Golf Outing was held on September 29, 2006 at our neighbor, the Northridge Golf Course. The nine hole after work special continues to work magic. All 12 teams were full and the hole/towel sponsors were packed. 100% of the funds from this scramble go to the Social Center to cover the cost of events. ECC serves over 100 people per week through the center.

The fabulous outing was fabulous. Weather was great, slight cool, changing winds. Lots of gifts for everyone with pretty good prizes for the low scoring teams. Did I mention the deserts? Yes, the brats and hamburger were good but the cakes…….oh, the cakes. Seriously good cake. Thank you to all the bakers. Please give all event credit to Vi Hutton and Mark Gillespie for putting on a wonderful show. They worked extra hours organizing and coming up with nice handouts. Not to be outdone is Hobie Hinderliter. He put the touch on several banks and really helped get the hole sponsor count up. He is a terrific Board member who takes his involvement very seriously. ECC is very fortunate to have people like Vi, Mark, and Hobie working and supporting what ECC is about.  Everyone said they enjoyed it and planned on returning. It does not get much better than that. Almost forgot golf was also played. The team of Madsen, Hinderliter, and Frederick shot a 34 to keep their cost per stroke the lowest of all teams. Several teams did 33. The top team shot 27. That is shooting a 54 for 18 holes. Smoking!  Good competition and fun.

This is our list of players and sponsors.  A sincere thank you to everyone who took part. Hope to see you all next year!
