ACTION ALERT!!!
It
is time to take action. I know we have all been waiting anxiously as the
Governor began his line item vetoes, hoping that the 4% increase would not
be one. What we are hearing from people does not indicate to us that he
intends to make that veto, however, we believe the following action could
help to prevent it.
ACTION:
Executive
Directors need to write a letter to the Governor telling him how important
the initiative of the General Assembly in passing the restoration and the 4%
increase was to community services. The letter should tell him all the
important things you will be able to do as a result of the restoration and
the increase and thank him in advance for his leadership in making those
things possible.
