Eligibility
Criteria: The Outpatient Program is available to individuals above the
age of three who are experiencing difficulties and impaired functioning in
handling life's challenges. Substance Abuse Program services are provided
to individuals pre-adolescent and older who are experiencing difficulties
with alcohol and/or other drugs. Admission criteria for the Community
Housing Program consists of 21 years of age or older, a primary diagnosis
of mental illness, history of psychiatric hospitalizations, adequate
independent living skills, an established income, and willingness to
participate in psychosocial or vocational rehabilitation. Psychosocial
Rehabilitation services are provided to individuals 18 years or older from
Brown, Cass, and Schuyler Counties who have a primary diagnosis of mental
illness, limited independent living skills, are unable to maintain
community residence without structured intervention and supports, and do
not require a skilled level of care.
Fees/Costs:
Outpatient and Substance Abuse counseling services are based on a sliding
fee scale that is dependent on the individual's total family income.
Psychiatric Consultations are provided in quarter of an hour increments
with fees ranging from $45—$90; and Psychiatric Evaluations have been
established at $130. DUI Evaluations are $135; DUI Updates are $68; and
DUI Risk Education classes are $110 for the four part series. Community
Housing services are provided at no cost to the individual residing in the
apartment facilities; however, clients are responsible for rental of the
apartments. Psychosocial Rehabilitation services are provided at no cost
to Brown, Cass, and Schuyler County residents.
Hours: The
Center building, which houses the Outpatient and Substance Abuse Programs,
operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Community
Housing facilities are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program hours are Monday through Friday from
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with programming held in the mornings.
