Services Available: The
Planning Council arranges Public Forums regarding the Five Year
Developmental Disabilities State Plan for Fiscal Years 2001-2005. The
purpose of the forums is for people in Illinois to offer their comments
about the IPCDD Five Year State Plan. This Plan serves as a guide for
activities on behalf of persons with developmental disabilities within the
State of Illinois. The Life Goal areas in the Plan are Employment, Homes,
Education, Health, Self-Determination, and Community Inclusion.
Geographic Area: All of
Illinois, with forums in ten communities: Chicago Mayor’s Office for
People with Disabilities, Joliet, Palatine, Rockford, Peoria, Moline,
Springfield, Carbondale, Belleville, and Effingham.
Population Served: All
persons with developmental disabilities, their families, friends,
advocates, service providers, and other interested persons.
