Services Available: The
School provides comprehensive programming for deaf or hard of hearing
parent-infant through grade 12 children. Also provided are comprehensive
residential and after-school recreation programs, counseling, social
services staff, audiological, psychological, vocational evaluation,
school-to-work, cooperative education, vocational technology education,
and extracurricular programs including sports. A one-week summer institute
is offered for parents of preschool children who are deaf. Early
intervention services and hearing and vision connections with service
providers that are specifically sensory trained and available to go to the
children’s homes or towns in Illinois. Various types of one-week camps are
held during the summer.

Hours: The School is in
continuous session, except for scheduled vacations, from the fourth week
of August through the last week of May.

school is to educate students who are deaf or hard of hearing to be
responsible and self-supporting citizens.
