Divorce Clinics. Senior Legal Assistance Project (Title IV): appointments
made through senior center in Jacksonville. Regular office: legal
assistance in certain civil cases to eligible persons (health and public
benefits), domestic violence victims (orders of protection/divorce),
custody defense, housing and utilities, special education, services under
DORS program. HIV cases must be referred by SIU counselor.
Geographic Area:
Springfield Office of LoLLAF serves Cass, Christian, Logan, Mason, Menard,
Morgan, Sangamon, and Scott Counties. Under Title III Elder Law Contract,
the counties served are 12: Cass, Christian, Greene, Jersey, Logan,
Macoupin, Mason, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Sangamon, and Scott Counties.
Population Served:
Springfield office of LoLLAF serves all residents of the eight county
service areas.
Eligibility Criteria:
Springfield office of LoLLAF eligibility criteria includes people whose
incomes are at or below 125% of the federal poverty level.
Fees/Costs: None.
Hours: Monday through
Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. They are closed for
most major holidays.
